Box Score 1 STARKVILLE, Miss. – After Saturday's games were cancelled due to rain, the Drake University softball team split a pair of games Sunday to conclude play at the February Freezer. Drake (6-3) defeated South Alabama (4-4) by a score of 4-0 before narrowly falling to Mississippi State (8-1), 1-0 in a rematch of Friday night when the Drake Bulldogs claimed a 1-0 win in eight innings.
Sunday, Drake earned the win over South Alabama led by the pitching combination of Nicole Newman (Madison, Wis.) and Kailee Smith (Murrieta, Calif.
