DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Drake University softball team fell to Iowa State, 9-0, in the two teams second meeting of the season. When the two teams met earlier this season, Drake came out on top 7-6.
The Cyclones took the early lead after Angelina Allen hit a solo home run to give ISU a 1-0 lead. Kasey Simpson later hit a two RBI home run in the top of the first to increase the Cyclones lead to 3-0.
The Bulldogs attempted to get a runner in scoring position throughout the evening. was the lone Bulldog to get on base.
