ST. LOUIS -- Drake golfer Lucas Scherf was named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Friday, March 3.
Scherf (72-63-69-204, -12) followed up his career-low round of 63 in the second round with a 69 in the final round to become the individual champion at the Loyola (Md.) Intercollegiate Feb. 26-28. The tournament win is Scherf's second of his career as the Grinnell, Iowa native navigated Palm Valley Golf Club (par 72) to win by three strokes.
Drake men's golf will compete next at the GCU Invitational March 13-14.
