GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Lucas Scherf (72-63-69-204, -12) followed up his career-low round of 63 in the second round with a 69 in the final round to earn medalist honors at the Loyola (Md.) Intercollegiate on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The tournament win is Scherf's second of his career as he navigated Palm Valley Golf Club (par 72) for his lowest career 54-hole score.
"Lucas played solid all week," head coach Matt Lewis said. "He was getting off the tee well and his putter was hot. He made so many putts. I am extremely proud of Lucas as winning a college tournament is difficult and for his score to be the lowest out of 108 competitors is incredible.
