GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – The Drake University rowing team posted strong results on Sunday during the final day of the 2016 Lubbers Cup Regatta on Spring Lake. Rough water conditions and cold temperatures were again a major factor at the two-day regatta after similar conditions occurred on Saturday.
Drake's varsity 4 + A boat led the team on the final day by beating Cincinnati and Robert Morris. In the team's only other race on Sunday, the varsity 8 + boat was edged by fellow Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference member, Robert Morris in a tightly contest race.
