BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Drake University rowing team made its first-ever trip to Buffalo, N.Y. for the 2018 Black Rock Cup Sunday hosted by Canisius College at the West Side Rowing Club. The Bulldogs competed against fellow Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference members, the host Griffins and Robert Morris as well as Rochester Institute of Technology. The teams competed on a 2,000-meter course on the Black Rock Canal.
"We raced hard today and I am really proud of how hard they prepared for this trip," said head coach Charlie DiSilvestro. "Obviously, we want better results, but it gives us a good idea of where we are with conference teams heading into the conference championship in two weeks.
