GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – The Drake University rowing is battling cold temperatures and rough water conditions on the first day of the 2016 Lubbers Cup on Spring Lake in Grand Haven, Mich.
The day started with temperatures in the 20s this morning as Drake was still able to able to compete in its three scheduled races. Rough water conditions in the afternoon caused multiple delays and the competitors are tentatively scheduled to resume racing at 6:30 p.m. EST Saturday night.
The adjusted schedule will only feature eight boat races as the remaining four boat races were cancelled.
