DES MOINES, Iowa – Senior Taryn Rolle (Nassau, The Bahamas) has been within striking distance of the Drake University women's triple jump record her entire career. Friday evening, she finally jumped into the record books with a wind-legal leap of 41-8.5 (12.71m) to become write her name in the Drake track & field record book.
Rolle's record-setting jump came on her third attempt as she won the event by more than six feet as one of 12 first-place performances from the Bulldogs in blustery conditions Friday on the Jim Duncan Track. Rolle also ran a leg on the team's first-place 4x100-meter relay.
