DES MOINES, Iowa – Emily Plock, an incoming freshman for the Drake University volleyball team and Altoona, Iowa, native, was one of 14 high school players in the nation invited to attend the USA Volleyball National Team Tryouts in Colorado Springs March 3-5.
"I am very proud of Emily and the progress she has made throughout her prep volleyball experience," said Drake head coach Darrin McBroom. "This is a tryout that features the top Division I collegiate athletes in the country. I attended the tryout and felt Emily performed at a very high level and you would not have guessed that she was a high school athlete among all the prospects in the gym.
