TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Drake men's basketball awoke from a slow start in the second half, but a late push by Indiana State propelled the Sycamores to victory in a 75-73 decision to open Missouri Valley Conference play at the Hulman Center on Wednesday (Nov. 30). Drake (6-1, 0-1) suffered its first loss of the season while Indiana State (7-1, 1-0) began conference play in the win column.
"We put ourselves in a tough position when you come out a little flat," head coach Darian DeVries said. "From that point on, it was climbing uphill.
