RIVERSIDE, Iowa – Drake men's golf wrapped up day one at the Iowa Fall Classic hosted by Blue Top Ridge Golf Course (Par 72) on Sunday, Oct. 16. Drake men's golf is currently in seventh place as a team (309-307-616). Valparaiso (287-308-595) is in the lead following two rounds.
Shayne Patel (74-76-150) drilled seven birdies to find himself in a tie for 10th place through two rounds. Freshman Cale Leonard (77-77-154) navigated the first 36 holes with 23 pars.
Nick Pittman (80-77-157), Silvester Tan (78-80-158) and Jack Dumas (82-77-159) finished bunched together.
