STILLWATER, Okla. -- Drake women's golfer Kristen Giles completed the opening round of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Stillwater Regional on Monday, May 9 at Karsten Creek Golf Club.
Giles qualified by earning medalist honors at the Missouri Valley Championship on Tuesday, April 19 with a 54-hole score of 225. She became the second Bulldog women's golfer to win the MVC Championship individual title.
This marks the first year that the medalist of a conference championship can get the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Women's Golf championship if not on the winning team.
