The No. 50 Denver men's tennis team clipped the Drake Bulldogs, 4-3, Saturday afternoon in a matchup of two of the top teams in the Summit League.
The Bulldogs' top two singles players collected wins as Oliver Johansson picked up a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles while Benedek Herman was a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 winner at No. 2 singles.
Unfortunately, the Pioneers prevailed at the bottom of the lineup with straight-set wins at No. 5 and 6 singles to upend the Bulldogs after claiming the doubles point.
Drake (5-6, 3-1 Summit) returns home next weekend to host North Dakota in the final Summit League match of the year.
