Led Drake to a sixth-place finish at the Gans Creek Classic against the likes of Texas A&M, Missouri,
Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State and Baylor … individually, he finished sixth on the 8-kilometer men's course in 24:09.4 … he moved into the top-10 midway through the race and continued to gain ground over the next 2,000 meters before holding his position to the finish … Marie was the top Valley finisher in the field as Bradley and UNI were also in the field.
