DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University swept UAB, 4-0, and George Washington, 7-0, in dominating fashion on Friday at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
"We got through today with two nice wins. Everyone on the team contributed, which was fantastic. We tested ourselves with some different doubles teams and then everyone took care of business in singles to get us two solid wins," said Drake head coach Davidson Kozlowski.
The Bulldogs took the doubles point swiftly over the Blazers, winning 6-1, 6-3 on court No. 3 and No. 2, respectively.
Drake didn't slow down in singles as freshman Freddie Powell won 7-5, 6-2 over Tom El Safadi at No.
