The Drake University men's soccer team fell to SIUE, 2-1, Saturday evening in Edwardsville, Ill.
The Cougars (2-7-2) out-shot the Bulldogs (6-3-0) 13-6, but Drake received four corner kicks compared to SIUE's three.
Both teams went scoreless in the first half. It wasn't until the 61st minute that Mitchell Murphy found the net behind Bulldog keeper Jared Brown. Murphy's goal gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
Brown recorded four saves in his 80 minutes in the net. Freshman Quinn Millerd finished the match in the net for the Bulldogs, making it only his second time this season.
