DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University men's basketball team matched the best start in school history on Sunday, riding the strong inside play of Shanquan Hemphill and Darnell Brodie to a 111-67 victory over Chicago State at the Knapp Center.
The Bulldogs improved to 8-0, with all eight victories by double figures, and topped the century mark for the first time since putting up 111 points in a double-overtime battle with San Diego on Dec. 23, 2018. The last time Drake reached triple figures in regulation, the Bulldogs scored 101 against Coe on Nov.
