CARBONDALE, Ill. – Paced by five players in double-figure scoring and a 10-point second-half run, the SIU men's basketball team pushed past Drake, 83-69, Sunday afternoon in Carbondale, Ill. The Salukis registered 12 steals to hold the Bulldogs at bay while limiting Drake to 43.5 percent shooting.
Junior Reed Timmer (New Berlin, Wis.) continued his history of strong play against SIU with a team-high 17 points with 13 of them coming in the second half. He entered the game averaging 20.0 points per game against SIU in his career. Ore Arogundade (Chicago, Ill.
