The Drake University volleyball team improved to 2-0 with a convincing 3-1 win over visiting Western Illinois Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Center.
The Bulldogs rolled out to a 2-0 lead with 25-19, 25-17 set victories before dropping the third set 22-25 with various lineups. The Bulldogs recollected behind their starters to cruise to a 25-12 win in the fourth set to take the match.
"I thought it was really important to get a win today coming off last night," said Drake head coach Darrin McBroom. "It's so common to see a team have a big win, then turn around and get upset.
