PALM BEACH, Fla. – Senior Tim Lim of the Drake University men's golf team finished in a three-way tie for fourth place at The Southern Invitational.
As a team, Drake (294-302-292-888) finished tied for seventh with Stetson (291-303-294-888). Middle Tennessee State (281-291-271-843) was the overall team winner, finishing nine shots better than Mercer (293-284-275-852) and VCU (287-286-279-852), who tied for second.
Lim carded a final round 69 (-3) Tuesday for a three-round total of 211 (72-70-69) and tied Middle Tennessee State teammates, Connor McKay (71-71-69-211) and Owen Stamper (74-72-65-211). Pontus Nyholm of Campbell fired an 8-under 64 (73-70-64-207) in the final round, moving up from T-8th to win the tournament by one shot over Peter Gasperini of VCU (71-69-68-208).
