Fifth-year senior half back Drew Lauer (St. Peters, Mo.) of the Drake University football team is the Pioneer Football League Offensive Player of the Week, the PFL office announced Sunday, Oct. 27. Lauer earned his first PFL player of the week honor after a career rushing day in Drake's 36-17 home victory over Morehead State.
Lauer rushed for a career-high 242 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns as the Bulldogs won their fourth-straight PFL contest. Lauer, who has eight touchdowns during the impressive winning streak, had the best rushing performance in the FCS in week nine and the fourth-best rushing performance this season.
