ST. LOUIS – Sophomore Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) of the Drake University women's basketball team was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career, the MVC announced Monday, Jan. 8 afternoon.
Hittner averaged 19.5 point, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game as she helped the Bulldogs go 2-0 on their first MVC road trip. In the Missouri State victory, Hittner poured in a game-high 24 points behind an efficient shooting performance of 6-of-10 from the floor, including making 3-of-6 from behind the three-point line, and she made 9-of-10 free throws.
