ST. LOUIS – Becca Hittner (Eldon, Mo.) of the Drake University women's basketball team is the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season, the MVC office announced Monday, Feb. 4.
In two games, Hittner averaged 33.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 57.9 percent (22-of-38) from the floor and 79.2 percent from the free throw line.
She started the weekend against Missouri State with a career-high 37 points on 12-of-23 shooting, adding eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks. She followed that great performance with an impressive 30 points, on 10-of-15 shooting, to go with seven rebounds, one assist and one block in the SIU win.
