Drake University senior midfielder Libby Helverson earned Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
Helverson scored the game winner on Sunday when the Bulldogs went into sudden-death play against St. Thomas. In the 94th minute of play, freshman Makenna Shepard passed to Helverson in the box, who then scored for Drake to win, 1-0. St. Thomas was the third match in a row that Helverson scored points in for the Bulldogs.
She currently leads the Bulldogs with seven shots, three shots on goal, and four points this season.
