DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University football team opens the home portion of its 2019 season against NCAA Division II member Truman State Saturday at 6 p.m. at Drake Stadium.
Saturday's contest is the sixth all-time meeting between Drake (0-1) and Truman State. The last matchup between the two Bulldog teams was an overtime clash in 2014 at Drake Stadium. Drake won that game 13-7 after Conley Wilkins' dive into the end zone on its first possession of overtime. It was the first game between the teams since 2002, and it snapped a two-game winning streak by Truman State.
