The Drake University football team plays its final non-conference game of the season on Saturday when it hosts NCAA Division II member McKendree.
Saturday's contest will be the second all-time meeting between Drake and McKendree. The Bulldogs won the first meeting, 28-11, in the 2000 season opener.
Drake has dropped its first two games of the season, falling to Quincy, 38-35 in the season opener and at No. 9 South Dakota State, 56-28, last week. McKendree enters Saturday's contest with a 2-0 record after beating Angelo State, 33-19, and West Liberty 16-15, respectively.
The Bulldogs have a one-two punch in the backfield with running backs Conley Wilkins and Drew Lauer, who was named this week's PFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
