DES MOINES, Iowa – Dayton rallied for a 46-29 Pioneer Football League victory over the Drake University football team Saturday afternoon at Drake Stadium.
Drake (5-5, 5-2 PFL) held a 22-7 lead late in the second quarter but Dayton (7-3, 5-2 PFL) scored 10 points before halftime and added another 22 straight-points after the break that helped grab control the game.
Fifth-year halfback Drew Lauer rushed for another 100-plus yards with 106 yards on the ground on 21 carries. Lauer, who also accomplished the feat last week in the win over Jacksonville, scored two touchdowns as he surpassed the century mark in a game six times this season.
