DADE CITY, Fla. — The Drake men's golf team won its opening round match over Loyola Chicago via tiebreaker and currently trails Toledo in the second round of Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play hosted by Ball State at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club after play was suspended due to darkness.
Drake's first matchup with 4-seed Loyola went down to the wire. Tim Lim played Devin Johnson of Loyola to a tie. Jack Dumas scrapped back-and-forth with Loyola's Timmy Crawford before Crawford pulled away (2UP).
