The Drake University men's track & field team recorded one of its best showings ever at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship Sunday afternoon in Carbondale, Ill. The team finished third in the team standings with 135 points and seven individual champions.
The Bulldogs' third-place showing was their highest since 1974 and the 135 points were the second-most in program history and most since 1968. Drake's seven individual champions were its most since 1933 and tied for the second-most in Drake history.
All-American Adam Fogg helped score 30 of those points with three individual titles, the most by a Bulldog since 1933 as he completed the improbable sweep of the 1,500, 5,000 and 10,000 meters.
