MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Calvin Song era of Drake women's tennis began on Saturday in the Sunflower State. The Bulldogs were ousted by Kansas State in a pair of matches, 7-0, 4-0.
The Wildcats earned the doubles point in the first match, but Drake was able get on the board. Newcomer Tess Caldicott and veteran Nicole Lee teamed up to beat Tereza Polakova and Zali Morris in the No. 2 doubles position. That victory was Drake's only of the day.
Kansas State then swept through the first four singles bouts and won the final two via forfeit to secure the 7-0 victory.
