Drake University student-athletes once again exceeded their lofty standards with another record-setting year and semester in their academic pursuits.
For the second-straight academic year, Drake student-athletes achieved a school-record departmental GPA of 3.47. In addition, the Bulldogs' nearly 400 student-athletes currently boast a cumulative GPA of 3.42, also a school record.
"This year, more than ever, Drake's student-athletes are to be commended and congratulated for their dedication to exceeding expectations in the classroom with one of the best academic years in our history," said Drake director of athletics Brian Hardin. "These student-athletes have faced once-in-a-generation challenges in managing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
