SPRINGFIELD, MO. -- The Drake men's soccer team fell to Missouri State, 3-2, Monday evening in the second matchup of the season between the two teams.
Less than a minute after kickoff, Istvan Wilhelms found the net to put the Bulldogs (2-2-1) on the board. Missouri State (7-0-0) fired back and Jesus Barea scored just under the three-minute mark to tie the game.
Senior captain Lucas Bartlett attempted two shots and freshman Jaffer Murphy attempted one to try to take back the lead for Drake.
In the 15th minute, MSU's Nicolo Mulatero scored off an assist from Aadne Bruseth to take the lead.
