WICHITA, Kan. – The Drake men's basketball team saw its record setting season come to an end Saturday night falling to the No. 3 seed Texas Tech Red Raiders in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 77-64.
In atypical fashion for the Bulldogs, the first half of the contest moved at a frantic pace. When the halftime horn sounded, Texas Tech led Drake, 37-30. Both offenses showed off their efficiency early as the game's first break would not occur until 11:33 left on the clock with Drake leading 16-12. The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick start shooting 7-for-11 from the field while the Red Raiders matched going 6-for-9.
