EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Drake volleyball team displayed tremendous effort in a thrilling back-and-forth Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship match at the Meeks Family Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Nov. 23. UNI (26-7) hoisted the MVC championship trophy, barely outlasting Drake (26-7) in five sets (20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 13-15).
Rodrigues led all players with 23 kills while adding three blocks. The MVC Player of the Year, Haley Bush bashed 19 kills and had 14 digs. Taylor Oberpriller (11) joined Rodrigues and Bush with double digit kills. Jada Wills collected a team-high 30 digs and MVC Freshman of the Year Addison Beagle dished out 56 assists.
