SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 100th all-time meeting between Drake and Missouri State was on brand for one of The Valley's most historic rivalries. The Bulldogs grabbed an early lead but could not keep Missouri State from stealing momentum late as the Lady Bears scraped out a 72-68 result in overtime.
The first six points of the game were all scored in the paint as and teamed up to give Drake a 4-2 lead. Kyrah Daniels, the Lady Bears' second leading scorer, eventually hit the first triple of the night on a fast break to propel Missouri State back in front.
