DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake defensive end Finn Claypool has earned more national recognition ahead of the Bulldogs' 2024 Pioneer Football League title defense. Claypool was named a Preseason Second Team All-American and to the Buck Buchanan Preseason Watch List, per FCS Stats Perform.
This is Claypool's second All-America honor of the 2024 preseason after being included on FCS Football Central's list.
The 30th anniversary season of the Stats Perform FCS Buck Buchanan Award kicks off with a 30-player preseason watch list.
The 2024 Buchanan Award will be presented after the season to the national defensive player of the year in Division I FCS college football.
