RICHMOND, Va. – Sardaar Calhoun excelled in his home state, but the Drake men's basketball team lost a Saturday matinee to Richmond, 82-52 at the Robins Center.
"There's not a lot to say," head coach Darian DeVries said. "We got off to a bad start and could never get it going. It's disappointing from my end that we weren't more prepared and ready to go from the start."
The Spiders (4-5) began the game on a 17-0 run capped off by a Tyler Burton fastbreak layup with 13:05 to play in the opening half.
