TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA – The Drake women's basketball team used an explosive second half to defeat Indiana State 86-71 in its final game of the regular season.
The Bulldogs struggled to get past the Sycamores defense in the first half. Drake outscored Indiana State in the second quarter but was unable to minimize their lead completely.
Going into halftime, Indiana State held an eight-point lead over the Bulldogs. The Sycamores held an initial lead of 15, but Drake's 20 second quarter points held make it a single digit.
Coming out of halftime, the Bulldogs were hot, shooting 75 percent and outrebounding the Sycamores.
