DAVIDSON, N.C. – Drake volleyball's memorable 2022 campaign continued with another 3-0 victory in the NIVC semifinals. The Bulldogs took down Atlantic 10 opponent Davidson in straight sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-17) to reach the title match.
Both teams went back-and-forth in the first set after the Bulldogs jumped out to an early 4-1 lead. Davidson fought back to knot the score at nine all before Drake rambled off another 4-0 run. The Bulldogs were able to take control of the set with a 9-3 run including four kills to take a 23-17 advantage. After another Wildcat charge, Mariana Rodrigues and Taylor Oberpriller eventually slammed the door with two-straight kills to take the set, 25-21.
