SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The Drake University women's basketball team fell to Missouri State, 59-63, in the final seconds on Friday evening.
The Bulldogs trailed until 25 seconds left in the first quarter when graduate guard Maddie Petersen hit a shot from the arc to put Drake up 17-15.
Missouri State went scoreless in the second quarter until guard Isabelle Delarue hit a three with 6:50 left in the half, pulling the Bears within four of the Bulldogs.
Drake went into halftime leading 32-29. Petersen led the Bulldogs with seven points in the first half.
