The Drake University women's tennis team will face No. 10 seed Texas A&M in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament the Bulldogs learned when the NCAA bracket was revealed Monday evening.
The Bulldogs face Texas A&M May 5 in Evanston, Ill. at a time to be determined. Northwestern will serve as the host with Xavier also selected to the site.
Drake, the Missouri Valley Conference Champion, advanced to the NCAA Tournament field after reeling off three-straight wins, including a 4-0 sweep of Missouri State in the title game to earn the program's first NCAA appearance since 2000 and third in the program's history.
