ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Drake University student-athlete Isaac Basten went on another late charge and narrowly settled for a runner-up finish in the men's mile final at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center on Saturday (March 11).
Basten finished with a time of 4:03.36 as winning time was only 0.03 faster (4:03.33) run by Luke Houser of Washington.
He earned indoor First Team All-American honors in back-to-back years after he took fifth in the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships mile final.
