ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake men's soccer goalkeeper Luke Anderson has been named the Missouri Valley Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Tuesday. Anderson earned the award on Sept. 24 in the midst of his four-game clean sheet streak.
"We are delighted that Luke is being recognized again for his outstanding performances," said Drake head coach Gareth Smith. "Six clean sheet performances is an incredible achievement and place him at the top of the conference."
The redshirt sophomore collected three saves in Drake's 2-0 triumph over Evansville this week to tally his sixth shutout of the season, tops in the MVC.
