Yoenis Cespedes is the Detroit Tigers’ top rental piece now that David Price is in Toronto, and they're "urgent" to move him before the deadline, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale:
If #Padres don't get what they want for Upton, they'll keep him and get draft pick;the #Tigers more urgent on Cespedes since no compensation

Cespedes is widely expected to be dealt today because he cannot receive a qualifying offer at the end of the year, even if the Tigers keep him.
The Tigers‘ asking price on Cespedes is currently high, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
Baltimore was in talks with Detroit earlier in the day, but talks reporedly broke down when the Orioles weren't willing to include former No. 4 overall pick Kevin Gausmann in the deal.
