The Detroit Tigers are already putting their best foot forward this offseason, looking to put the frustration and disappointment of a 74-87 and last-place finish in the AL Central behind them. We expect the Tigers to be extremely busy in this year's Hot Stove League. With that being said, here's our Tigers Rumors Roundup for the weekend ending 11/8.
Joakim Soria Reunion?
Tigers GM Al Avila is aware that the bullpen "is a mystery to a lot of clubs, not just the Detroit Tigers." Avila is looking to take the shroud off that mystery, finding the right guys to bolster the bullpen going forward.
One option which could make sense is former Tigers reliever Joakim Soria.
Per Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press:
"The relief market is thin. There is one proven closer available – right-hander Joakim Soria, whom the Tigers traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates at the trade deadline – and another able arm with closing experience in right-hander Tyler Clippard.
"Soria makes sense; he enjoyed his time in Detroit and pitched well. But as the top option on the market, dollars could lure him to another destination."
Soria posted a 2.53 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 24 saves in 30 attempts for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2015.
Tigers Out On David Price, Yoenis Cespedes?
Rumors have been swirling about potential reunions between the Tigers and LHP David Price and/or OF Yoenis Cespedes. However, that may not be in the cards if ESPN's Buster Olney has an accurate measure of the front office's current game plan:
Sources: Early indications from the Tigers in the market are that they are targeting good second-tier free agents.

Things could still develop in a different manner, but the team appears set on addressing needs with cost-effective options rather than trying to outbid others for top names like Price and Cespedes.
