The Detroit Tigers have been one of the biggest disappointments of the 2016 MLB season, posting just a 15-20 recrod to this point in the season.
Manager Brad Ausmus knows he's "in the crosshairs" and on the hot seat given the team's poor start, telling MLive.com's Aaron McCann that he knows he'll get fired if they can't turn the season around.
“I knew when I took this job, I was probably going to get fired before I walked away from it. Not this job in particular, but just managing in general. How many managers walk away from a job?”
Many thought Ausmus might be fired after the Tigers missed the playoffs last season, but the team decided to bring him back for the 2016 season. This is the last year of his contract, and it's hard to imagine that he'll be back next season (if he lasts that long) if Detroit doesn't turn it around.
