ERIE, Pa. -- When catcher Grayson Greiner wraps up his first full season at the Double-A level with the Erie Seawolves in two weeks, he'll go back home with a ringing endorsement.
"I think he can catch in the big leagues -- right now, to be perfectly honest with you," said Erie manager Lance Parrish.
The opinion of Parrish, an eight-time All-Star who spent nearly two decades in the big leagues, should carry some weight.
Greiner, a 24-year-old who was drafted by the Tigers in the third round out of South Carolina in 2014, probably won't achieve that goal next spring.
