Yanks-Tigers twin bill postponed until June 4

DETROIT -- For the second consecutive day, the Tigers and Yankees lost out to the weather. This time, an ice storm forced the postponement of both halves of their doubleheader at Comerica Park. The games will be made up on June 4 in a split doubleheader.

The two teams were rained out on Saturday. Since this weekend is the Yankees' only scheduled visit to the Motor City this season, the game was rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader for Sunday. The rain froze overnight as temperatures dipped below freezing.
