DETROIT -- Four players who could see increased opportunities with Miguel Cabrera on the disabled list made big contributions Wednesday night in the Detroit Tigers' 5-2 win over the Minnesota Twins.
It was the Tigers' first game since the news that Cabrera with miss the rest of the season with a ruptured tendon in his bicep.
John Hicks and Niko Goodrum, who will each get a chance to play in Cabrera's old spot at first base, had three hits apiece.
Grayson Greiner, who assumed the backup catcher role with Hicks moving to first base, had an RBI single in the eighth to tie the game.
