Detroit Tigers radio play-by-play man Dan Dickerson is going on the disabled list for a few days, and the broadcast crew is getting some help from the other side.
Royals broadcaster Steve Stewart will join Jim Price in the Tigers radio booth for today's series finale in Kansas City. Then Matt Shepard will step in for the start of the series in Texas on Monday.
Dickerson will use the time off to try to rest his vocal cords and regain his voice.
A bug has been floating around the Tigers clubhouse of late. It's not known if Dickerson's illness is related.
